The Toronto Game Expo (TGE) is the city's premier event for gaming and pop culture enthusiasts! This biannual extravaganza brings together gamers, collectors, cosplayers, comic fans, and anime lovers for a day of celebration and community.

At TGE, we pride ourselves on offering a diverse and engaging experience for all attendees. Our event features over 300 exhibitor tables showcasing a wide array of games, collectibles, and artwork. Attendees can participate in crafting workshops, test their skills in game competitions, or enjoy our free-play gaming area, which boasts over 30 systems. There's also a tabletop gaming section for board game enthusiasts and a dedicated kids' zone with art activities and a scavenger hunt. Throughout the day, we announce raffle prizes, culminating in the grand prize of a free OLED Nintendo Switch, generously donated by GameStop, a long-time partner of TGE.

For cosplay enthusiasts, TGE hosts the Cosplay Stars competition, offering over $800 in prizes. Whether you're a seasoned cosplayer or just starting out, our event is the perfect place to showcase your creativity. If competition isn't your thing, you can participate in our foam shield or chainmail crafting workshops.

TGE was founded by Darby Queiser and Chris Hodgson, who share a passion for bringing people together through gaming. "We do this twice a year," Darby explains, “to relive the nostalgia of how gaming unites everyone. Toronto Game Expo was born from the best memories of my childhood, and we want to share that joy," Chris adds. Since July 2015, Darby and Chris have also been running the Barrie Game Exchange, a beloved retro game swap that has grown to represent all fandoms and hobbyists.

Our event is accessible, affordable, and family-friendly, with tickets priced at just twenty dollars. We often run promotions on our Instagram, making it even easier to join the fun. TGE brings together the best elements of video games, pop culture, and anime events in a unique and inviting way.
